Propane Tank "Swings" and Refurbs
Tanks are typically removed from the
chassis, blasted, cleaned, primed,
sanded, and painted exactly as
done on new units. Therefore, it has
the same luster and longevity as the
original. Depending upon size, age,
condition, etc. it may be practical to
look at other paint alternatives as well.
In those cases less expensive
approaches can be used all the way
down to minor touch-ups. Whatever
your need, we have a painting process
to match.
GTTC is an “R-stamp” facility authorized to perform pressure vessel repairs. Depending upon the conditions it is
probable that if a problem is uncovered then approved procedures are in hand to
allow welding repairs to the pressure vessel – saving you down time.
Meanwhile the chassis is prepared for tank mounting. Tank hold downs, bumper design and any layout
changes can be reviewed with our Design Certifying Engineer to ensure compliance
of the completed unit.
Existing
decks can be removed, repainted, or replaced if needed.
Once replumbed, the control systems installed, and remote shut down tested
the unit will go through DOT test procedures (if required) and final decaling and
quality control testing.
We will work with you to schedule appropriately
so the unit returns to service timely, and keeping you informed of progress throughout
the process.
